Travis owns and operates a pet food plant in El Paso’s lower valley, where 17 employees produce thousands of bags of fresh pet food daily. Emphasizing freshness and quality, the ingredients come solely from U.S. farmers and processors, setting them apart from larger producers. Every truckload undergoes rigorous testing before unloading, ensuring freshness and quality control. The production process involves mixing ingredients, adding vitamins, minerals, and carbs, followed by extrusion and drying. Fat, such as chicken or fish oil, is sprayed on for flavor and energy before bagging and pelleting. With a production capacity of 3,000 bags a day, the plant runs 24/4, supplying Pet’s Barn stores and customers nationwide.
